  2025-01-07

The extent to which GPCR oligomerization is a regulated process still remains unclear. Reported effects of ligands on both GPCR homo- and heteromers are highly variable and depend on GPCR subtypes and the specific ligand used. According to our data, chronic treatment of mice with both paroxetine or

In brief, serotonin can interact with 7 classes of receptors are differentiated into 14 subtypes (Barnes and Sharp, 1999). Specifically, 5-HT1A and 5-HT2C receptors have been the most widely studied in the modulation of anxiety responses (Deakin et al., 1992; Millan, 2003). However, the studies that

DRiPs also contribute to formation of protein Imidazole acetic acid that result from dysregulation of proteostasis, during which the proteolytic machinery is unable to process and degrade defective proteins (Tyedmers et al., 2010). Aggregation of poly-ubiquitinated proteins has been observed in dif

Structure of V-ATPase V-ATPase is a highly conserved multi-subunit enzyme that uses energy from ATP hydrolysis to transport protons across membranes [2], [3], [4]. It consists of two major functional domains, V1 and V0 (Fig. 1). The former has eight different subunits (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H)

There are however, concerns of potential side-effects that should also be taken into account. Even though some studies pointed towards a potentially greater radiosensitising effect in p53-deficient tumours, ATM inhibition radiosensitises EdU Cy3 labeling kit in general, which raises the concern of n

The accumulation of oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL) is one of the many causes of the initiation and progression of atherosclerosis (Virmani et al., 2002; Pirillo et al., 2013; Sun et al., 2016; Huang et al., 2016; Tabas, 2010). oxLDL-induced apoptosis of macrophages contributes to the forma

Apelin induced Gαi activation has been demonstrated as a benefiting effect on cardiac contractility [12], [38], [39], and a vasodilator activity that protects against angiotensin-II-induced cardiovascular fibrosis and atheroma [40], [41]. In contrast, stretch causes hypertrophy through diminishing G

To further address the mechanism of Didox’s suppressive effects on mast cell activation, FceRI receptor SQ 22536 and downstream transcription factor induction were assessed. We found that Didox had no effect on FceRI surface expression, and thus concluded that Didox effects must be occurring downst

Identification of the kinase that phosphorylates P450c17 The first Ser/Thr kinase that phosphorylates P450c17 was identified only recently. Of the 518 kinases in the human ‘kinome’ 278 are Ser/Thr kinases (Manning et al., 2002), but microarrays identified only 145 Ser/Thr kinases in human NCI-H29
