Materials and methods Results Discussion Human MutL-family complexes (MutLα: MLH1-PMS2, MutLβ:MLH1-PMS1, MutLγ:MLH1-MLH3) exhibit multiple molecular activities including DNA binding, DNA cleavage, ATP binding and hydrolysis [43]. In our recent study, we have uncovered an important function

This progressive behaviour is summarized in Fig. 4, which depicts the variation in convexity of the obtained cut-off patterns for the series of six antioxidants. The form and degree of convexity of the obtained cut-off curves should in principle correlate with the AOs hydrophobicities, and therefor

In summary, the different types of interstitial cells found in the current study are illustrated in Fig. 7A (see legend for further details), which is suggestive of a heterogeneous complex network of interstitial cells communicating with each other. The possible signaling pathways involving this int

  2024-01-19

The enzyme-mediated ATP-sensing mechanism in zebrafish can be compared with previous studies in other animal species reporting that enzymatic conversion of chemicals in the peripheral olfactory organ results in either “activation” or “inactivation” of odorants and pheromones. In male silkmoth, the a

  2024-01-19

Although ACE genetic variance does not influence the level of bradykinin significantly, the bradykinin level tends to be affected by ACE inhibitor therapy used by patients. ACE inhibitor reduces the ACE activity that may lead to the accumulation of serum bradykinin. The level of bradykinin tends to

• How does the ATM to ATR switch

  2024-01-19

How does the ATM-to-ATR switch occur at DSBs? The progressive attenuation of ATM activation could be attributed to the loss of DNA structures that activate ATM, or to the generation of DNA structures that interfere with ATM activation. Our finding that SSOs do not directly affect the binding of puri

Aromatase: the key enzyme for estrogen formation in adipose tissue Estrogens are synthesized from androgens by aromatase, a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily, which is the rate-limiting enzyme in estrogen biosynthesis (Santen et al, 2009, Simpson et al, 1994). At the cellular level, aroma
